Join us at Carolina Coffee Shop for networking and a discussion, featuring Heather O'Reilly, Anson Dorrance and Wendy Palladino, as we explore women's soccer over the last few decades - where it's been and where we are headed. Food and drink will be available for purchase. We'll have giveaways throughout the evening thanks to SOCCER.COM, the North Carolina Courage and Heather. You'll also be able to purchase the book, "The Making of the Women's World Cup: Defining stories from a sport's coming of age" before anyone else in the world. Co-author Jeff Kassouf will be on hand to sign copies and discuss the book.

It's the perfect way to roll into a World Cup year and get ready for the NWSL season, which kicks off on April 13 with the Courage hosting the Chicago Red Stars just down the road.

World Cup champion, 3x Olympic gold medalist

Heather O'Reilly is a World Cup champion, a three-time Olympic gold medalist and a two-time NWSL champion, including with the North Carolina Courage. She's a Tar Heel for life, having won two national championships at UNC. She's also a budding analyst offering fresh, honest perspective for Fox at this summer's World Cup.

Wendy Palladino

World Cup champion, USWNT legend

Wendy Palladino played for the USWNT from 1987-1991, helping the Americans win the inaugural Women's World Cup in 1991. She was a three-time national champion and three-time All-American with UNC.

Anson Dorrance

Legendary UNC coach

Anson Dorrance guided the United States to the inaugural Women's World Cup title in 1991. He founded the UNC women's program in 1979 and has served as head coach for the past four decades, winning 21 NCAA championships.

Jeff Kassouf

Founder, The Equalizer

Jeff Kassouf founded The Equalizer (equalizersoccer.com) in 2009 and quickly grew it into the leading online source of women's soccer news and analysis in the United States. He is the co-author of the book, "The Making of the Women's World Cup: Defining stories from a sport's coming of age" which hits shelves in May.
